The entries in the condolence book were collected from posts made to the Usenet  discussion group rec.music.beatles in response to the message reproduced below.

Olivia Harrison has been so very kind in inviting all of George's many fans a time to share with her and Dhani in which we can say goodbye. That's a beautiful act of sharing at this difficult time.

On Monday at 1:30pm PST (Los Angeles), and 18:30 GMT (Liverpool and London) she's suggested a minute of silence, a minute many of us will share very deeply. 

In the past few days rec.music.beatles has become a place for many to express their feelings about George's passing and the "Silent Thread" has provided a place for us to meditate.

18:30 GMT seems to be three hours earlier than 1:30pm PST. Perhaps we could use the three hours to create our own condolence book as a way of saying goodbye to George. It would be truly beautiful if these were the only posts coming to RMB in that period.

The entries could be collected together and placed on a website to form a more lasting memorial. Diana has agreed that the messages be maintained at her George Harrison website www.hariscruffs.com. I can think of no more fitting place than her lovely website.

The idea is this:

Between 18:30 GMT and 1:30 PST we post threads entitled something like "In Loving Memory" in which we make an entry for the condolence book.

I've listed the world times for 1:30 PST below. Simply subtract three hours to get the starting time.
